Exploring the new San Francisco this crisp, clear morning, we found ourselves near Nob Hill and Nourish Cafe looked like a good idea for Saturday brunch, as they bill themselves as

…a 100% plant-based [cafe that] …uses organic, whole foods and non-GMO ingredients to create delicious, wholesome and healthy foods. We use only natural sweeteners and minimal oils.

Perfect! As there was too much on the menu that we wanted to try and it’s so rare that everything on the menu is seemingly compatible, we decided to order three things and split them all. We had the waffle, as shown above, a crisp, yet airy gluten-free item that piqued my sweet-tooth’s interest. I enjoyed the texture and the lightly nutty flavor was a delight. I really enjoyed it and polished most of it off right away save one bite for the end.

Next I dove into my half of the Frittata Sandwich, a “Just-Egg” plant-based frittata with baby spinach, mushrooms, onions, artichoke mayo, avo, sandwich fixins’ on Josey Baker Seedfeast Bread only. Don’t ask them to put it on something else. I really liked this sandwich, too. The bread had a nice crunch and sandwich itself was quite flavorful.

Finally I worked my way into the Savory Breakfast Bowl – jasmine rice topped with carrots, avocado, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage with a red bell pepper almond sauce. The sum of the parts worked well together and we polished that off along with a couple of pools of coffee.

Overall, I liked this place and would come back. The service was friendly, and quick. It appeared to be a stop-over for runners, and I appreciated that they didn’t seem to have a problem letting folks use the facilities.
