I love browsing bulk food sections to see what’s on offer as there are often good buys to be had. Sometimes it’s interesting grains that you don’t see a lot of or some other spice that you just have to bring home. A blend of mixed rices and lentils and split peas caught my eye. I brought those bad boys home and threw them in a pot of water with some trusty veggie bouillon and had that for lunch. That was good. I made a lot of it.

Later, I pulled it back out and heated it up and together with a splash of salsa across the bottom, a spoon of the rice & beans, a couple of roasted mixed seeds I’d also picked up today for texture, I had a couple of terrific bites and super duper easy to do.
