I feel like this sort of sums up my life …

The last Denny’s in Marin (County, California) demolished to make way for vegetarian eatery. Story in SFGate about how the times be a-changing. I remember not long after I first moved to San Francisco, driving up to this Denny’s late one night. I’d been out having a good old time. We got pulled over by a cop in The Presidio for speeding. I get let go with a warning.

I wouldn’t dream of setting foot in a Denny’s these days, and if I did I certainly would have no idea what to order. Have a vegetarian place along the road, and with a drive through would be great. It’s rough as a traveler spending time looking for plant friendly options. Calling in advance sometimes. Trying to make it into a strange town with just five or ten minutes to spare until the place closes. And you know they wanted to close early because no one was there. I’m looking at you, Flagstaff.
