Divine Dips: A Review – Los Angeles, CA

We were out walking the Colonel late one night in downtown LA and we come across a closed store front for a place that when open, purports to sell vegan ice cream.

Makes furious mental sticky note and sticks to forehead.

The next night it’s all about where are we getting dinner and how are we going to get back to check out the ice cream place.

We get there. The lights are on but no one’s around. I’m wondering if they’re open.

We pull on the door and folks immediately spill out of the back to greet us. I didn’t know where I was or what I was getting in to. I know now.

This place is every bit as good as better words that have preceded me have proclaimed. Their dips are divine. So divine, that after a sample, I was tempted to break down and get her S’mores Sundae, that I created from a three scoop sampling of that night’s remaining offerings, one of which was toasted coconut. Ms. Diane singed those marshmallows a la minute. Yes she did.

This was so good. Apparently it’s not easy being this good in DTLA and they’re looking for some help by way of this GoFundMe.

And by the way, as I sat there, I kept hearing about some Dragon something that everyone was raving about. I wanted to try it, but the line never went back down for me to get back up there and a steady stream of customers continued to pour in for those divine dips.
