Indochine Vegan: A Review – San Francisco, CA

Everyone’s comment about this place, “Why has it taken us so long to find this place?”

Want a bunch of greasy Chinese food that tastes just like your old favorite really good greasy Chinese joint? Like I’m thinking about you, Yum-Yum House.

This place nailed it. Indochine Vegan was everything I’ve been looking for in good Chinese food that I’ve been completely unable to get in the Midwest.

We ordered way too much and it was all really good.

We started with their pot stickers, crispy rolls and spring rolls. Each excellent and reminiscent of other eating days without sacrificing any flavor. Or livestock.

Spicy Cha-Cha

Spicy Cha-Cha, Yam ‘shrimp’ breaded and wok-fried with spices, bell pepper, celery and chili was really good. I would like to eat this at the restaurant. We also had the Three Mushrooms n Green Beans, described as a special treat of exotic mushrooms, green bean, organic carrot, tofu that was also a hit.

Their Korean Style BA-BA-BOM, a dish of rice tossed with organic tofu and vegan ham, ginger, soy bean sprouts, spinach, carrot and zucchini was a hit and a slightly different take on plain old fried rice.

Trying out all parts of the menu we added an Organic Kale Salad to the mix, a blend of organic kale, carrot, and tomato mixed with a veganaise sauce and nuts.
