Veggie Grill: A Review, DTLA

Okay! I have to tell you how excited I was to realize there’s now a fast food restaurant devoted to plant based preparations, even if it’s a lot of fried junk food. What a joy!

Umm … fake fish tacos ….

This all has to fall under the banner of weekend food, but when you’re in a pinch, I love the idea that you can go into a place and you can have anything on the menu. That doesn’t happen a lot these days.

There were some not bad choices, it wasn’t all garbage. There was a kale salad that was great with marinated kale, quinoa, red cabbage slaw, tomato-corn salsa with optional agave-roasted walnuts and the ability to request additional dressing on the side.

In a sea of McDonalds’ and Burger Kings and Subways across the American landscape, it would be nice one day to be able to pull up into MidAmericaFarFromtheCoast and still be able to get plant-based options. With Veggie Grill, that day may be sooner than we think.

Veggie Grill is 100% vegan. Veggie Grill has a VegScore of 100.
